About the role:

The core purpose of this job function is to support on-site customer equipment failure inspection, diagnosis, repairs, and warranty work.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Diagnostics, maintenance and repair of military vehicles and equipment, on-site and in the field, in compliance with Company technical service and statutory regulations.
  • Independent deployment at a customers’ site, with responsibility for order processing and contractual documentation.
  • Compliance with and monitoring of statutory regulations, in particular those involving safety at work and environmental protection.
  • Responsibility for the preparation of safe and compliant work sites, tools and materials.
  • Independent management of a facility in collaboration with a technical team.
  • Delivery of training tasks, internally and externally with customer community.
  • Provision of high levels of customer care and satisfaction.
  • Execution of fault-finding, defect diagnosis, planned and un-planned maintenance and repair work at all relevant stages.
  • Accurate completion of all documentation inclusive of job sheets and work orders.
  • Generation of work breakdown structures, cost estimates, and performance specifications.
  • Training and instructing new employees to set them up for success in their roles.

What we’re looking for:

As well as considerable experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance and repair (ideally in the field of military equipment, heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery or specialist vehicle manufacture), you should have experience in completion of relevant technical documentation and paperwork as dictated by industry. You will also have skills and experience in the operation of automotive diagnostic equipment, diagnostic fault finding and troubleshooting. You should have a C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair Level 3 or equivalent and test authorisation for technical tests specified by the statutory authorities. Holding a Class 2 driving licence, having experience in military vehicle maintenance and a basic knowledge of the German language would be advantageous.
