About the role… 

The core responsibility of this role is to act as a key escalation point for the Service Desk team, supporting a wide range of systems, software, and infrastructure across the business.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provide 2nd line technical support for escalated service desk tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues both remotely and on-site.

• Maintain and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

• Support and manage virtualisation platforms including VMWare and Hyper-V.

• Configure and maintain network devices including firewalls, switches, and routers.

• Assist with system upgrades, patching, and general IT projects.

• Document technical procedures, system changes, and solutions clearly.

• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure smooth operation and high availability of systems.

What we’re looking for… 

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience in a 2nd line support role.

• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS.

• Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.

• Experience configuring and supporting network devices, including firewalls, switches, and routers.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
