About the role…
The core purpose of this job function is to be responsible for all field customer warranty, diagnosis, repairs and training tasks.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Execution of training tasks, internally and externally with the customer community.
- Customer product support both internally and externally.
- Diagnostics, maintenance and repair of bridging equipment and supporting vehicles in the field in compliance with technical service instructions and statutory regulations.
- Independent deployment at a customer’s site and the ability to travel internationally is a key requirement of the role.
- Compliance with and monitoring of statutory regulations, in particular those involving safety at work and environmental protection.
- Responsible for the preparation of work/training sites, materials and tools.
- Independent management of training in collaboration with a technical team.
- Execution of fault-finding, maintenance/repair work on all maintenance stages for KNDS bridging products.
- Project management including generation of work breakdown structures, cost estimates, and performance specifications.
- Training and instructing new employees.
What we’re looking for…
An experienced and fully qualified maintenance technician, certified technician, with time served as a mechanic/fitter or equivalent. You must hold a full UK Driving Licence, and ideally also a HGV licence. You will have experience in vehicle maintenance, especially in the field of heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery or special vehicle manufacture. Previous experience of working with Military Bridges such as MGB or DBS would be advantageous.
